Senior Functional Analyst – SAP FICA

Location: Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid – Maximum 2 days remote per week)
Start Date: 14 September 2026
Contract Duration: Initial contract until September 2028 with possible extension
Workload: Full-time (100%)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Functional Analyst – SAP FICA to support the analysis, enhancement, and maintenance of SAP ERP solutions for Finance and related business processes. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders to optimize existing applications, implement new functionalities, and ensure the stability and quality of SAP solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
• 
  Estimate the effort, cost, and impact of requested changes.
• 
  Evaluate multiple solution approaches and recommend the most suitable option.
• 
  Configure SAP solutions to meet business requirements.
• 
  Assess impacts on existing systems and ensure solution maintainability.
• 
  Perform functional testing, develop test plans, and support user acceptance testing.
• 
  Coordinate deployments and ensure smooth implementation of changes.
• 
  Troubleshoot and resolve functional incidents and production issues.
• 
  Perform ABAP debugging to support issue analysis.
• 
  Maintain functional and technical documentation.
• 
  Collaborate with developers, project managers, and business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills & Experience

• 
  Master's degree or equivalent experience.
• 
  Minimum 5 years of experience as a Functional Analyst
• 
  Minimum 5 years of hands-on SAP FICA functional experience
• 
  Strong SAP configuration experience.
• 
  Experience with SAP S/4HANA
• 
  Knowledge of ABAP debugging
• 
  Experience creating functional specifications and process documentation.
• 
  Experience with business process modelling tools.
• 
  Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• 
  Excellent documentation and stakeholder management abilities.
• 
  Ability to work independently while collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Skills

• 
  Experience with SAP IS-U
• 
  Experience within the energy or utilities sector
• 
  Experience working within large enterprise or public-sector environments.

Language Requirements

• 
  Fluent in Dutch or French
• 
  Good working knowledge of the other national language (Dutch/French).

Work Environment

• 
  Hybrid working model (maximum 2 remote days per week).
• 
  Laptop provided.
• 
  Long-term assignment within an established ERP environment supporting critical business operations.
