Senior Functional Analyst – Remote Operations Program

End Date: 15 July 2027
We are looking for a Senior Functional Analyst to support a large-scale digital transformation program focused on remote operation of bridges, locks, pumping stations, and other waterway infrastructure. You will act as the link between business stakeholders, IT teams, and software suppliers, translating business needs into functional solutions that support the development of integrated digital systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Gather, analyse, and document business requirements, processes, and functional specifications.
Facilitate workshops and collaborate with stakeholders to define business needs and translate them into functional requirements.
Produce functional analyses, business cases, recommendations, and solution designs aligned with enterprise architecture.
Coordinate with internal teams and external software vendors throughout the development lifecycle.
Support procurement activities, technical analyses, and project documentation.
Perform functional testing, quality assurance, and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Analyse data sources, document data flows, and assess data quality and system impacts.
Act as the primary contact for functional questions, user feedback, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Requirements:
Minimum 5 years' experience as a Senior Functional Analyst on large, business-critical applications.
Proven experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and functional design.
Experience working in complex technical environments with data and process modelling.
Knowledge of UML, use cases, sequence diagrams, and enterprise data landscapes is an advantage.
Strong workshop facilitation, stakeholder management, communication, and analytical skills.
Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent experience).
Native-level Dutch (CEFR C2).
Willingness to travel regularly to various locations across Flanders, with meetings primarily in Willebroek (approximately once per week). Hybrid working is available by mutual agreement.
