Job Description
Senior Functional Analyst
We are seeking a Senior Functional Analyst to support a large-scale business transformation program involving the modernization, refactoring, and development of business applications. You will work in an Agile environment and act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that business needs are translated into effective functional solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, project teams, and external partners.
Analyze, document, and validate business processes, functional requirements, and non-functional requirements.
Translate business needs into functional specifications, application designs, and user stories.
Collaborate with developers and technical teams to refine solutions and validate functional designs.
Support end-to-end delivery of new applications and functionalities.
Create and maintain project documentation, requirements specifications, process diagrams, and data models.
Develop test plans and test cases and support solution validation.
Work closely with project managers to track progress, manage risks, and support decision-making.
Mentor and support junior analysts when required.

Requirements
Proven experience as a Functional Analyst in complex business environments.
Strong business and functional analysis skills.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Knowledge of BPMN, UML, functional analysis techniques, and test design.
Ability to understand technical concepts such as APIs, mappings, services, batch processing, and business models.
Experience working with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and SQL.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to quickly understand complex business domains.
Nice to Have
Knowledge of J2EE, Java, Oracle, Hibernate, Maven, Git, JUnit, or Selenium environments.
Experience supervising or coaching junior team members.
Good knowledge of the second national language (Dutch or French).
Languages
French or Dutch: Active professional proficiency
English: Professional working proficiency
Additional Requirements
Belgian nationality is mandatory.
