Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

Location: Remote – US

Company Stage of Funding: Profitable, Employee-Owned Growth-Stage Company

Office Type: Fully Remote

Salary: $140,000–$180,000 Base + 10–20% Bonus

What You Will Do

• Build the workflows, user experiences, and intelligent automations powering a complex enterprise web application.
• Own product features end-to-end, from database schemas and backend services through the interfaces customers use every day.
• Build production applications using Python and SQL on the backend and TypeScript and React on the frontend.
• Use Rust selectively for performance-critical components.
• Design workflows that help customers manage procurement, item master data, and healthcare supply-chain operations.
• Translate ambiguous product requirements into clean, maintainable software.
• Balance rapid product delivery with long-term scalability and extensibility.
• Build monitoring and auditing functionality that gives customers visibility into who changed data, what changed, when it happened, and why.
• Contribute to security, access controls, and compliance functionality appropriate for enterprise customers operating in regulated environments.
• Own the reliability of features you build, including monitoring, alerting, error handling, and performance across backend services and frontend experiences.
• Partner closely with Product Management, Data Engineering, and Customer Success to turn customer and business requirements into product functionality.
• Participate in architecture discussions, technical planning, and code reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and help improve engineering practices around testing, documentation, maintainability, and code quality.
• Use modern AI-assisted development tools as part of the engineering workflow.

Ideal Background

• 6+ years of full-stack software engineering experience building and operating production web applications.
• Strong experience owning application features across both the frontend and backend rather than specializing exclusively in one layer.
• Strong production experience with Python and SQL.
• Experience with backend application architecture, including database schema design and performance tuning.
• Strong proficiency with TypeScript and React for modern web application development.
• Experience designing and implementing complex application workflows.
• Strong product instincts and attention to usability, maintainability, and user experience.
• Able to take ambiguous product requirements and independently translate them into production-ready software.
• Experience owning features throughout their lifecycle, including architecture, implementation, launch, monitoring, and iteration.
• Strong understanding of application reliability and production software fundamentals.
• Comfortable working on data-intensive applications where correctness and data integrity are important.
• Strong communication skills and able to collaborate effectively across Engineering, Product, Data, and customer-facing teams.
• Comfortable contributing to technical architecture while remaining a highly hands-on individual contributor.
• Experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code or similar tools for agentic software development.

Preferred

• Experience writing Rust, particularly for performance-sensitive services, data processing, or shared libraries.
• Experience building agentic AI features, LLM-powered workflows, or other applied AI automation in production.
• Experience implementing audit trails, activity logging, change tracking, or similar enterprise application functionality.
• Experience designing application-level security and access-control functionality.
• Experience with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, ECS, and RDS.
• Familiarity with modern CI/CD practices.
• Experience building complex enterprise SaaS applications.
• Background in healthcare technology or supply-chain software.
• Experience working in regulated environments where security, auditing, and data integrity are especially important.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary: $140,000–$180,000.
• Performance bonus: 10–20% of base salary.

• Longer term, this engineer will help shape the technical direction of the broader application platform while mentoring other engineers.
• Best suited for a product-oriented full-stack engineer who enjoys moving fluidly between backend systems, data, frontend experiences, and application architecture while owning features all the way through production.
