About the Opportunity

Sunbytes is seeking a
Senior Fullstack Developer
to join a high-impact team for our Dutch client in the
IoT Security industry
.

This is a
Technical Leadership Track
position. We are looking for a senior engineer who wants to transition into a
Tech Lead
role within 12 months. While a dedicated Project Manager (PM) handles schedules and client reporting,
you will own the technical integrity of the project.
You will oversee the Dev team, QA standards, and DevOps stability to ensure the product is scalable, secure, and high-performing.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Technical Leadership: Lead the technical design and execution for high-complexity projects. While you will start with one project, you are expected to provide technical guidance across different teams and projects

• 
  QA Strategy & Ownership: You will define the end-to-end QA strategy and lead the QA team to maximize performance and resource efficiency.

• 
  Collaboration: Partner with the PM to provide technical feasibility assessments and effort estimations.

• 
  Team Mentorship: Guide the professional growth of our developers and QA engineers. You will lead code reviews, mentor senior devs, and foster a culture of high-performance engineering.

• 
  Security-First Coding: For IoT Security, ensure all code follows strict cybersecurity best practices and employs robust vulnerability management.

Requirements

Job Requirements

• 
  Experience: 6+ years in Software Development, with 4+ years of deep expertise in TypeScript, Node.js (Nest.js), and React (
  Next.js
  ).

• 
  SaaS experience, microservices-oriented architecture, multi-cloud (AWS, Azure)

• 
  Leadership Mindset: You aren’t just a "task-taker." You are a "problem-solver" who proactively identifies technical debt and architecture bottlenecks.

• 
  Architecture: Proven experience with Microservices and Domain Driven Design (DDD).

• 
  Communication: Advanced English proficiency is mandatory. You must be able to explain complex technical trade-offs to both the Dutch client and the local team.

• 
  Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

• 
  Ho-Chi-Minh area-based, with flexibility for remote work (intention is to spend 2-days in the office with the team)

Nice to Have

• 
  Experience with message brokers (NATS, Redis)

• 
  Secure applications, key management, HSM, cryptography

• 
  General knowledge of CI/CD (GitHub Actions) and Cloud environments (Azure/AWS/K8S) to help troubleshoot high-level deployment issues.

• 
  Experience with IoT security protocols or hardware-software integration.

• 
  Previous experience as a Team Lead or Technical Lead in a hybrid environment.
