We’re looking for a Senior Fullstack Developer to join as a foundational technical hire and a key engineering partner to the CTO. This is a high-ownership role where you will be responsible for building features end-to-end, making architectural decisions, and helping shape the long-term technical direction of the product.

The ideal candidate is a highly experienced fullstack engineer with deep expertise in TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Python, who can independently drive projects from concept to production while maintaining a strong focus on scalability, code quality, and system architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

Own the end-to-end development lifecycle of new features, from designing solutions and building systems to deploying production-ready applications.
Partner with the CTO on technical strategy, architecture decisions, and long-term engineering planning.
Design and maintain scalable frontend applications using TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS.
Build and improve backend services using Python, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, and Celery.
Make architectural decisions, evaluate technical trade-offs, and establish development best practices.
Identify and reduce technical debt by improving code quality, maintainability, and system reliability.
Develop real-time functionality using technologies such as Streaming, SSE, and WebSockets.
Own testing strategies across frontend and backend, ensuring application stability and scalability.
Mentor other developers and contribute to raising the overall engineering standards of the team.

Key Requirements:

6+ years of professional experience as a Fullstack Developer.
Proven experience independently owning and delivering production-level applications and features.
Expert knowledge of TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS.
Strong backend development experience with Python and FastAPI.
Experience designing and maintaining APIs, backend services, and scalable system architectures.
Strong understanding of PostgreSQL, database design, queries, and transaction management.
Ability to make and defend architectural decisions while balancing scalability, complexity, and delivery speed.
Experience improving existing codebases, reducing technical debt, and maintaining high-quality engineering standards.
Hands-on experience with frontend and backend testing frameworks.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance.

Nice to Have:

Experience with vector databases and AI-related data systems.
Familiarity with S3-like storage solutions.
Experience building and maintaining real-time applications.
Previous experience working closely with CTOs or as an early engineering hire.
Experience mentoring developers or establishing engineering processes.
Familiarity with tools such as Jest, Cypress, Playwright, or pytest.

Schedule Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, with a minimum of 4 hours of daily overlap with Central European Time (CET)
Compensation Contractor model – USD salary
