Job Description

TeamViewer provides a leading Digital Workplace platform that connects people with technology—enabling, improving and automating digital processes to make work work better. Our software solutions harness the power of AI and shape the future of digitalization.

We believe that our diverse teams and strong company culture are key to the success of our products and technologies, that hundreds of millions of users around the world and around 645,000 customers across all industries rely on. With more than 1,900 employees worldwide, we celebrate the unique perspectives and talents that each individual brings to the table and foster a dynamic work environment where new ideas thrive. Are you ready to join our team and make an impact?

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to design and build the backend services that power TeamViewer products and the web applications on top of them. You will own features end to end, shape technical direction across the stack, and act as a technical reference and mentor within and across teams.

  • Design, build and operate backend services and APIs using Java/Kotlin with Spring Boot or Node.js/TypeScript.
  • Build high-quality web applications with React and TypeScript, contributing to our design system and micro-frontend architecture.
  • Drive architecture and design decisions for scalable, resilient and secure services, applying domain-driven and event-driven principles.
  • Design data models and choose the right storage across SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Design asynchronous integrations using messaging systems such as Kafka, NATS or RabbitMQ.
  • Own deployment and operation of services with Docker and Kubernetes, and improve CI/CD pipelines and observability.
  • Drive testing strategy across the stack (unit, integration, contract, end-to-end).
  • Drive adoption of AI-assisted development in your team: set good practices, share workflows and keep quality high.
  • Mentor other engineers, lead code reviews and promote engineering best practices across teams.

Requirements

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of professional experience in software development across backend and frontend, with a track record of leading technical topics.
  • Strong backend experience with Java and/or Kotlin and Spring Boot, or with Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Strong experience with React and TypeScript, including modern state management (e.g. Redux Toolkit, Zustand, TanStack Query); experience with design systems or micro-frontends is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems, API design and software architecture.
  • Solid experience with relational (e.g. PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases.
  • Hands-on experience with messaging systems such as Kafka, NATS or RabbitMQ.
  • Solid experience with Docker and Kubernetes, CI/CD and production observability.
  • Good knowledge of security best practices for backend and web applications.
  • Hands-on experience with AI coding tools (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) and a clear view on how to use them responsibly in a team.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and working in agile teams.
