This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer (.NET/Angular) (Modernization & Security) - GovTech / HR Software in Brazil.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a mission-critical platform supporting the modernization of public-sector and HR-related systems used by government institutions. You will contribute to the evolution of a large-scale .NET-based application, focusing on improving security, performance, and maintainability while gradually modernizing legacy front-end components. The environment is highly technical and collaborative, involving close work with DevOps, QA, and product teams to deliver stable and scalable solutions. You will play a key role in driving secure software practices, system refactoring, and cloud-based enhancements. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and progressively modernizing a complex full-stack .NET application while ensuring security, performance, and scalability across all layers. You will contribute to both backend and frontend evolution, supporting long-term architectural improvements in a structured and controlled manner.

• Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services using C#, ASP.NET Core, and .NET Framework
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs with secure authentication, versioning, and clean architectural standards
• Support and gradually modernize legacy front-end components using jQuery, Kendo UI, Bootstrap, and Angular/TypeScript
• Refactor existing codebases using SOLID principles, clean architecture, and best practices without disrupting production systems
• Design and optimize SQL Server databases, stored procedures, and queries to ensure performance and reliability
• Drive security improvements, including vulnerability remediation, dependency upgrades, and OWASP compliance
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements, automated testing, and deployment reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and product to ensure smooth delivery cycles

Requirements

The ideal candidate has strong full-stack experience in .NET environments and a solid understanding of modern software engineering practices, secure development, and legacy system modernization. You are comfortable working in complex architectures and gradually improving systems without compromising stability.

• 5+ years of experience in .NET development using C# across .NET Framework and .NET Core
• Strong experience building RESTful APIs using ASP.NET or ASP.NET Core
• Solid SQL Server expertise, including schema design, indexing, and query optimization
• Front-end experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks/libraries such as jQuery, Bootstrap, Kendo UI, and Angular
• Strong understanding of clean architecture, SOLID principles, and dependency injection
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit, Jest, or equivalent)
• Knowledge of secure coding practices, OWASP standards, and vulnerability remediation
• Experience with Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines in modern development environments
• Exposure to AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, CloudWatch) is a plus
• Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA / Section 508) is an advantage
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional, agile teams
