Microsoft’s Azure Data organization is building the analytics platforms that power data driven applications for the age of AI. Our technologies span databases, big data analytics, messaging, and real time analytics, enabling customers to gain insights from data at ‑unprecedented‑ scale and speed.

Within Azure Data, the Kusto team delivers a high scale, distributed analytics engine that underpins mission critical‑ observability and real time‑ analytics across Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric. Kusto ingests hundreds of petabytes of data daily and serves as a foundational platform for ‑real time‑ intelligence.

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Kusto organization. In this role, you will own and drive significant backend and frontend components, shape architectural decisions, and help evolve the RealTime Intelligence (RTI) platform in Microsoft Fabric—building systems that deliver ‑low latency‑ insights at massive scale.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and implementation of major backend and frontend components in a distributed, high SLA‑ system
• Drive architectural decisions for cloud services, APIs, and user facing‑ experiences
• Build scalable, performant backend services and high-quality frontend applications that enable ‑real time‑ data exploration
• Lead features end-to-end‑ from design through production deployment and ‑long term‑ operation
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and design partners across geographies
• Identify and address issues in reliability, performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and technical guidance
• Participate in on call rotations and lead mitigation of complex, ‑high impact‑ production incidents

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong Full Stack experience in C#,JavaScript ,React and modern frameworks
• Experience building and operating large scale distributed systems and cloud native‑ services with high availability and operational excellence

Others:

• Ability to drive projects with minimal oversight and influence technical direction
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• Experience with real time analytics, observability, or ‑data intensive‑ systems
• Deep understanding of asynchronous programming, concurrency, and system performance
• Experience influencing architecture beyond a single feature or component
• Passion for building reliable platforms with significant customer impact
