As an Full Stack Engineer in OCBC, you will be part of a team, building applications that work at scale to support various banking products, services, and also enable development workflows. We are looking for a Senior Full-stack Lead developer who will be part of every stage of development, from concept to deployment. How you succeed
To succeed in this role, you'll need to be passionate about software development and committed to delivering high-quality solutions. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, design and develop software applications, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems. Your ability to collaborate, innovate, and adapt to changing requirements will be key to your success.

What you do

  • Serve as a technology subject matter expert in delivering large enterprise projects.

  • Expertise in architecture, discipline and practices about SRE, DevOps, AIOps

  • Ensure that all integration of functions meet business goals

  • Demonstrable payment processing and clearing knowledge especially data mapping and modelling to support triaging issues raised in development and production

  • Define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process enhancements

  • Recommend product customization for system integration

  • Identify problem causality, business impact and root causes

  • Experience in building product from ground up, have exposer how the end to end works from ideation, design to final build of a product.

  • Strong understanding of Payment Processing in banking domain

  • Good understand and working experience in Microservices (Any tech stack)

  • Understanding of architecture like physical, logical, solution architectures etc.

  • Deliver solutions that can keep up with a rapidly evolving product in a timely fashion

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Strong experience of modern architectures such as microservices, event streaming, and multi-region systems, supported by solid knowledge of industry-recognised frameworks and tooling

  • Strong understanding of payment systems, processing, and industry trends (e.g., ISO 20022, digital payments, payment gateways).

  • Familiar with Payments messaging standards such as ISO 20022, SWIFT

  • 10 years of relevant experience in an Engineering Lead role

  • Experience in leading teams

  • Must have experience in building platforms in Microservices

  • Participate in technical design discussions, architecture reviews

  • Develop high-quality with Java 21, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Micro frontends

  • Implement Spring ecosystem features such as Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, Spring Cloud, etc.

  • Experience in working with IBM MQ, Kafka, Redis and Mongo DB

  • Apply design patterns and guiding principles in daily development.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

  • Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting to identify best practices

  • Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills

  • Ability to work in a matrix environment.

  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative

  • Keen interest in learning new technology.
