About the Role:
We’re looking for a talented Senior Full-Stack Engineer (all genders) to help us build and scale modern web applications across frontend and backend. You’ll work in a collaborative agile team, contribute to architecture and implementation decisions, and deliver reliable, well-tested features end to end.

Tasks

  • Build, maintain, and improve full-stack features using Vue.js, TypeScript, Laravel, and MySQL.
  • Develop robust APIs and integrate with external services.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and tested code (unit/integration/e2e where relevant).
  • Optimise performance across frontend, backend, and database queries.
  • Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teammates in an agile environment.
  • Support CI/CD workflows and production reliability (monitoring, queues, background jobs, caching, etc.).

Requirements

Must-have experience

  • 5+ years of professional full-stack development experience (or equivalent depth of experience).
  • Strong JavaScript/TypeScript knowledge (ES6+), and experience with a modern frontend toolchain.
  • Solid experience with Vue.js (Vue 3 + Composition API) and state management (Pinia or Vuex).
  • Strong CSS/SCSS skills and ability to build responsive, maintainable UI.
  • Strong PHP skills (PHP 8+) and modern backend development practices.
  • Good hands-on experience with Laravel (9+), including Eloquent, Collections, queues, and API development.
  • Strong SQL skills with MySQL (8+); able to analyse and optimise complex queries.
  • Experience with automated testing for frontend and backend (unit and e2e).
  • Practical experience with Docker-based local development and CI workflows.
  • Familiarity with common web platform components: caching, queues, web servers, background jobs, external APIs, and monitoring.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with AWS services (e.g., ECS/Fargate, RDS, ECR, Lambda, SQS, EC2).
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., CDK).
  • Experience with Node.js/TypeScript microservices (e.g., Express).
  • Exposure to other PHP frameworks (e.g., Symfony).
  • Experience with functional programming concepts/libraries.

What we value

  • Team-first mindset and clear communication.
  • Ownership, pragmatism, and result-oriented execution.
  • Curiosity and continuous learning.
  • High engineering standards and attention to code quality.

Benefits

  • Work 100% remotely with flexible working hours.
  • Annual meet-up in Berlin for a week (The LumiWeek) with all employees, where we have workshops, team events, drinks, delicious food, and good talks.
  • We care about your personal & professional development. You will receive an annual learning budget for books, courses, conferences, etc.; some hours per week are reserved for learning new skills.
  • Join a team of 13 nationalities (>30 employees) and various backgrounds. We ensure you have regular contact with everybody and are updated on the company's progress.
  • You will have a significant impact on our rapidly growing user base.
