nXscale provides flexible outsourcing solutions for startups and scaleups. We partner with global companies to help them build teams and scale operations.
Our client is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to take ownership of end-to-end delivery of product features across a React/React Native frontend and Node.js APIs. You’ll work independently within a venture-backed AI startup, contributing to a Next.js web app, React Native mobile app, and building reliable integrations with third-party APIs used daily by clients.
In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the founder and product team to define requirements, propose practical solutions, and ship features iteratively—striking the right balance between developer experience, performance, and security.

What you will do:

• Feature Delivery:
• Design, build, test, and ship features for React and React Native applications.
• Ensure thoughtful UX, accessibility, and support for offline or poor-network conditions.


• API Design & Integration:
• Architect and maintain Node.js REST APIs.
• Integrate external services with robust patterns for authentication, webhooks, pagination, retries/backoff, and idempotency.


• Quality & Maintainability:
• Write unit and integration tests, uphold type safety, and maintain CI pipelines.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and deliver features confidently.


• Security & Compliance:
• Implement secure secret management, least-privilege access, input validation, and safe data handling according to industry best practices.


• Production Ownership:
• Manage releases, observability (logs, metrics, traces), error/crash monitoring, performance tuning, and incident response.
• Conduct post-mortems and drive continuous improvement.

Who you are:

• React (Advanced): Hooks, state management, performance profiling, testing.
• React Native (Production): Shipped and maintained real apps; experience with navigation, device APIs, crash analytics, and OTA updates.
• Node.js APIs: Designing and maintaining REST endpoints with robust error handling, rate-limiting, and logging.
• External APIs: Building resilient integrations with error budgets, retries, and idempotent workflows.
• Production Ownership: Experience managing app releases, monitoring, and incident response.

Nice to have:

• End-to-end delivery of native apps to Android/iOS (certificates, signing, release channels).
• Data layer experience: Supabase, Postgres (schema design, migrations, query optimization).
• Web app platform: Next.js, Vercel (SSR/ISR, edge functions, deployment pipelines).
• Managing multiple third-party integrations at scale, including monitoring, alerts, and rollback strategies.
• Building Chrome extensions.
• Basic QA skills.
