Why Join Ford of Mexico?

Celebrating over 100 years of legacy in Mexico, we are more than just a business—we are a vibrant, collaborative community of over 14,000 innovators shaping the global future of transportation. At Ford, we build what matters, grow where it counts, and drive progress with heart. Whether you are collaborating at our state-of-the-art Global Technology and Business Center (GTBC) or manufacturing iconic, award-winning vehicles in our world-class plants, you will find a culture evolving together, built on trust, passion, and shared purpose. Here, your work moves people forward, and your growth is personal. Join us, and let’s build what’s next together.

In this position...

Join our global Enterprise Product Systems & Engineering team at the Global Technology and Business Center (GTBC) to lead the modernization of mission-critical automotive service documentation and diagnostics platforms. In this role, you will architect and deliver high-performance cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), modernizing legacy .NET architectures into scalable Java and React applications. You will empower technicians and service teams worldwide with fast, reliable access to technical service documentation, directly improving vehicle quality and customer satisfaction.

What you'll do...

  • Architect, build, and deploy full-stack cloud applications utilizing Java, React, PostgreSQL, and Google Cloud Run.
  • Lead the migration and modernization of legacy ASP.NET/C# backends and SQL Server databases into modern, cloud-native services.
  • Design, configure, and maintain robust CI/CD automation pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions, API security tooling (such as 42Crunch), and automated testing suites.
  • Author comprehensive unit, integration, and performance tests to ensure top-tier code coverage, reliability, and security compliance.
  • Partner cross-functionally with product managers, business stakeholders, and global engineering squads across Mexico, the US, and India to translate complex business requirements into user-friendly software solutions.
  • Champion Agile engineering best practices within a bi-weekly sprint cycle, actively leading story mapping, technical documentation, and code reviews.

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Typically 5+ years of full-stack software engineering experience, including hands-on experience migrating enterprise applications to modern cloud environments.
  • Proficiency in modern Java development (e.g., Spring Boot) and Google Cloud Platform services (Cloud Run, Cloud SQL), alongside foundational experience with C# / .NET and relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
  • Strong working knowledge of modern front-end frameworks (React or Angular), RESTful API design, XML/JSON data processing, and Git-based workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing automated CI/CD pipelines (such as GitHub Actions) and operating effectively within Agile/Scrum delivery teams across distributed global time zones.
  • Professional working proficiency in English, both verbal and written, with strong cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Even better, you may have...
  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect certification.
  • Hands-on experience with API security compliance testing tools (such as 42Crunch) and contract-driven API design.
  • Familiarity with structured Root Cause Analysis methodologies or Lean / Six Sigma continuous improvement frameworks.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
