We seek a Senior React Native Engineer with strong React.js foundations to contribute to the redesign and extension of the client's core mobile application. You will bridge the gap between our mobile and web ecosystems, leveraging TypeScript and modern paradigms to build high-performance, secure features that allow millions of patients to book appointments, manage insurance, and access diagnostics.
This role offers a direct impact on the health and financial well-being of members through a seamless, high-quality mobile experience.
Lead the development of mobile features in React Native while contributing to and aligning with our React.js web standards.
Work on app redesign and implement new functionalities.
Ensure performance, accessibility, and offline-first experience.
Collaborate with designers, frontend, backend developers, and QA.
Contribute to testing and code reviews.
Deep proficiency in React Native, React.js, and TypeScript.
Strong proficiency in Expo, React Navigation, Reanimated, and Gesture Handler.
Solid understanding of mobile paradigms (navigation, gestures, lifecycle).
Mastery of libraries like Redux, or similar, with an understanding of how state persists across different environments.
Expertise in offline-first patterns (MMKV/AsyncStorage).
Experience in unit and integration testing across the stack (Jest, React/RN Testing Library, Cypress or similar).
Practical experience implementing secure storage solutions.
Proven track record of managing App Store and Play Store release cycles and CI/CD pipelines.
Nice to have
Performance tuning, accessibility best practices.
Network handling and background tasks.
Familiarity with U.S. healthcare applications or external user-facing systems.
