The Role

We're looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to help build the frontend platform that powers WegoPro. You'll work on a sophisticated, data-rich product used every day by travel managers, finance teams, and business travellers around the world.

This is a hands-on senior engineering role with significant technical ownership. You'll shape our frontend architecture, establish engineering standards, mentor other developers, and build AI-powered experiences that make complex workflows feel intuitive.

What You'll Do

• Own the architecture and evolution of our frontend platform, including our design system, application state, routing, build tooling, and performance.
• Build scalable frontend systems on top of a microservices architecture, designing resilient API integrations, caching strategies, and graceful fallbacks when services fail.
• Develop AI-powered product experiences, including conversational booking, agentic workflows, and streaming interfaces that make AI interactions feel reliable and trustworthy.
• Drive adoption of AI-assisted software development, helping define best practices for using tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex across the engineering team.
• Lead technical design discussions, perform thoughtful code reviews, and mentor engineers to raise the quality of the team's work.
• Take ownership of software quality from development through production, including automated testing, observability, CI/CD, and operational excellence on AWS.
• Partner closely with Product, Design, and Backend Engineering to deliver intuitive, performant user experiences.

What We're Looking For

• Significant experience building modern web applications, with deep expertise developing complex, stateful single-page applications.
• Expert knowledge of Vue 3, including the Composition API, Pinia, Nuxt, and a strong understanding of Vue's reactivity model.
• Strong TypeScript skills and experience with modern frontend tooling, including Vite, code splitting, performance optimisation, and Core Web Vitals.
• Excellent frontend engineering fundamentals, with a passion for building polished, accessible, responsive user interfaces.
• Daily experience using AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex, with sound judgement about where they accelerate development and where they don't.
• Familiarity with modern AI application development, including MCP, agent frameworks, context engineering, evaluation frameworks, and shipping user-facing AI features.
• Practical experience with AWS services including S3, CloudFront, Lambda, ECS, CI/CD pipelines, and feature flagging.
• Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a bias for ownership, delivery, and continuous improvement.

Nice to Have

• Experience building products in business travel, fintech, or B2B SaaS.
• Experience with micro-frontend architectures.
• Experience building or maintaining design systems.
• Contributions to open-source projects in the Vue or AI tooling ecosystem.
