About the Role

Role Name: Senior Frontend Engineer - Contract

Work Experience Required: 3-6 yrs

Role Function: Engineering

Job Location: HSR Layout sector 2. Bangalore (ONSITE)

Contract Duration- 6 month

What will you own?

You will be tasked with strengthening the app/payments product of Pice and get it aligned with the larger product strategy & suite of the company.

Must-Have Skills

  • 3+ years of experience with React Native in production apps.
  • Strong understanding of mobile architecture, state management (Zustand, Redux, Context API), and navigation (React Navigation).
  • Experience publishing apps to App Store and Play Store.
  • Familiarity with native modules and bridging (Android/iOS).
  • Solid experience with TypeScript and clean code practices.
  • Ability to consume RESTful APIs and handle real-time data (WebSockets / Firebase).
  • Experience with push notifications, deep linking, and analytics.
  • Good understanding of performance profiling and debugging tools.
  • Familiarity with tools like Expo, Fastlane, Bitrise, or CodeMagic.

Good to Have

  • Experience with monorepo or micro-frontend mobile architecture.
  • Knowledge of native Android (Kotlin) or iOS (Swift) is a plus.
  • Prior experience owning a mobile product or working in a startup environment.
  • Eye for UI/UX and experience working closely with design teams (Figma, etc.).

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Architect, build, and maintain a high-performance React Native application.
  • Develop modular, scalable, and reusable components for integration into a larger ecosystem.
  • Handle end-to-end mobile app development: UI/UX, API integrations, performance optimization, and bug fixes.
  • Implement deep linking, push notifications, in-app navigation, and third-party SDKs.
  • Manage app releases to both App Store and Google Play.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to design and integrate APIs.
  • Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for mobile deployments.
  • Monitor app performance and user feedback, and iterate quickly.
  • Own the product roadmap, tech decisions, and documentation for the app.
  • Liaising with cross functional teams within BharatPe to create documents, proposition and align objectives with the prospective NBFC partners.

Process Adherence

  • Provide inputs and develop processes, presentations and responding to new proposals in a timely manner
  • Program managing the lender partner from identification of problem statement till implementing scalable solutions
  • Ensure that all regulatory and internal compliances are met and adhered to without fail Internal Stakeholder Management
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal stakeholders like Risk, Product, Legal, Finance, Payments, Customer Service for partner onboarding and integration activities till go live
  • Provide crisp and timely updates on the integration to internal stakeholders, taking support whenever required and ensuring the relevant internal and partner teams are connected
  • Ensure smooth running of business, dispute resolution of partners including reconciliation and invoice management Reporting and Analytics.
  • Monitor key portfolio, operational and financial metrics for partners and report any discrepancies
  • Prepare and share reports around business performance, reconciliation, revenue etc to succeed in the role Impact
  • Contribute to building supply for the Merchant Lending business
  • Manage large Lending Partners having a book size of INR 1000cr+
  • Identify opportunities to continuously grow the business Challenges & Decisions
  • Consistently delivering outcomes in an extremely dynamic environment
  • Interacting with very senior stakeholders (both internal and external) on a regular basis
  • Ensuring process and compliance adherence in a highly regulated industry
  • Building deep understanding of the product, regulations and risk frameworks

Qualifications -

  • Bachelors Degree from a tier 1 institute preferably IIT/NIT
  • MBA degree would be preferred
  • 3-5 yrs of experience preferably in financial services industry
  • Partnerships and/or Program/Project Management experience preferred Required Skills -
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work with and influence cross functional teams
