The Expertise Behind Great User Experiences

As our Senior Frontend Developer (f/m/d), you will play a key role in bringing ideas to life through modern, high-performing web applications. With a strong focus on our e-commerce platform and other frontend initiatives, you will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation, turning concepts and designs into seamless digital experiences.

In this role, you will take ownership of our frontend architecture, driving technical decisions and establishing best practices that ensure scalability, maintainability, and outstanding performance. Your expertise will help create intuitive, responsive applications that not only meet business objectives but also delight users.

Working closely with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, and Backend Engineers, you will transform wireframes and requirements into robust, user-friendly solutions. You'll have the opportunity to influence the entire development lifecycle, from architecture and coding to deployment and continuous improvement.

Beyond building great applications, you'll continuously optimize performance, ensuring cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, and exceptional user experiences across devices. You'll identify bottlenecks, implement improvements, and help create frontend solutions that are fast, scalable, and future-ready.

You'll also contribute to enhancing our development processes by improving build pipelines, testing strategies, and deployment workflows. Your commitment to quality and innovation will help us maintain a fast release cycle while ensuring stability and reliability.

What you bring – and what you can expect from us

With more than five years of professional software engineering experience, you have built modern web applications and know what it takes to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Modern frontend technologies are your playground. You are highly proficient in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS/SASS and have extensive hands-on experience with leading frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular. Working with state management libraries like Redux and building production-ready applications is part of your daily routine.

Beyond frontend technologies, you understand how applications interact with data. You are familiar with relational database models and schemas and can confidently work with SQL when needed, enabling you to build solutions that are both technically sound and business-oriented.

You bring a solid understanding of software engineering principles, frontend architecture patterns, responsive design, RESTful APIs, and web performance optimization. Rather than simply implementing requirements, you enjoy understanding the bigger picture. You can translate complex business processes and functional requirements into intuitive, user-centric interfaces that create real value for customers and stakeholders alike.

You also bring a strong awareness of user experience and interface design. You can confidently contribute to UX/UI discussions, provide constructive feedback on design concepts, and help shape digital products that are both visually appealing and highly usable. Experience with responsive and mobile-first design approaches is a natural part of your skill set.

As a self-driven and highly organized professional, you thrive in a remote and cross-functional environment. You are organized, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership while collaborating effectively with colleagues across different teams and locations.

Strong communication skills are essential to your success. You communicate confidently and clearly in English, both written and spoken, and can effectively engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders. German language skills are a definite plus and will help you integrate even more seamlessly into our international organization.
