This is a Hybrid role working from our Sofia office 2 days a week, offering you the perfect balance of collaborative in-person connection and focused remote flexibility.

Key Aspects of the Role

As a Senior Frontend Developer at Waracle, you will be a vital technical anchor within our delivery teams. You will bridge the gap between complex technical requirements and beautifully accessible digital products, ensuring everything we build is scalable, high-performing, and secure.

Beyond writing clean code, your collaborative spirit will shine as you act as a trusted consultant and mentor. You will help shape our technical direction, identify risks early, and champion the inclusive engineering standards that keep our projects maintainable and our teams thriving.

Duties of this role include:

• Engineering Excellence: Designing and delivering end-to-end features while ensuring code is modular, reusable, and follows SOLID principles.

• Quality & Standards: Conducting peer reviews, enforcing coding standards, and guiding the overall testing strategy across unit, integration, and UI levels.

• Performance & Security: Optimising application responsiveness and accessibility while maintaining robust security by applying industry-standard defensive measures.

• Technical Leadership: Leading the delivery of specific workstreams, translating business objectives into technical tasks, and resolving day-to-day delivery issues independently.

• Operational Efficiency: Introducing automation and CI/CD pipelines into the workflow and driving consistent sprint velocity to ensure readiness for release.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Presenting confident demos to clients, explaining technical trade-offs in plain language, and summarizing complex discussions into clear team actions.

• Professional Contribution: Representing Waracle in recruitment panels, running internal knowledge-sharing sessions, and contributing to our Community of Practice (CoP) initiatives.

Requirements

What You’ll Bring

• 3+ years of professional Frontend Development experience, with deep, proven expertise in our primary stack: React or React Native

• A versatile technical toolkit: Experience with other frontend frameworks (like Vue or Angular) is a wonderful plus.

• An inclusive, mentorship-first mindset: A passion for supporting the growth of others and creating psychological safety within engineering teams.

• Exceptional communication skills: The ability to present ideas clearly, listen actively, and build strong relationships across a wide variety of personality types.

• A proactive mindset: A habit of sharing context with new joiners and making sure everyone feels included and informed.
