Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Frontend / Vue.js Developer to design, build, and evolve modern web applications supporting our Supply Chain planning solutions.

This is a hands-on senior engineering role with a strong focus on Vue.js / Vue 3, TypeScript, frontend architecture, user experience, and high-quality software engineering. You will take technical ownership of frontend components and applications while contributing to architectural decisions, platform modernization, and the continuous improvement of our development practices.

You will work closely with backend developers, product owners, consultants, and domain experts to turn complex business and data requirements into intuitive, responsive, and maintainable user experiences. Our applications are data-intensive and often involve complex planning workflows, visualizations, tables, scenarios, and analytical functionality.

The role is suited to an experienced frontend developer who enjoys solving complex technical and UX challenges, building production-grade applications, and contributing to both hands-on implementation and long-term technical direction.

Frontend & Vue.js Development

• Design, develop, test, and maintain production-grade web applications primarily using Vue.js / Vue 3 and TypeScript
• Take technical ownership of frontend components and applications throughout their lifecycle, from design and implementation to deployment and continuous improvement
• Build reusable, maintainable, and well-structured Vue components and frontend modules
• Develop responsive and intuitive user interfaces for complex, data-intensive applications
• Work with modern Vue technologies and patterns, including the Composition API, state management, routing, and component-based architecture
• Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs and backend services
• Implement efficient handling and presentation of large and complex datasets
• Apply strong software engineering principles, clean coding practices, and appropriate design patterns
• Identify and resolve frontend performance, usability, and maintainability issues
• Ensure high software quality through automated testing, code reviews, documentation, and engineering best practices
• Contribute to CI/CD and modern development and deployment practices
• Ensure applications work consistently across supported browsers, devices, and screen sizes

User Experience & Data-Driven Applications

• Translate complex business and Supply Chain planning requirements into intuitive and efficient user experiences
• Build interfaces for data-intensive workflows, including tables, dashboards, planning views, visualizations, and analytical applications
• Collaborate with product owners, UI/UX designers, consultants, and users to understand workflows and improve usability
• Develop reusable UI patterns and components that provide a consistent experience across applications
• Work with charting, visualization, and data-grid technologies where appropriate
• Consider accessibility, responsiveness, and usability as integral parts of frontend development
• Support the integration of AI-enabled functionality into user-facing applications where relevant
• Build frontend experiences that allow users to interact effectively with AI-assisted and data-driven functionality

Architecture & System Design

• Play an active role in frontend architecture and technical design decisions
• Design frontend solutions for scalability, maintainability, performance, testability, and usability
• Define and promote engineering patterns, standards, and best practices for Vue.js and TypeScript development
• Contribute to the development and evolution of shared component libraries and design systems
• Define clear boundaries between frontend applications, backend APIs, and shared services
• Evaluate frameworks, libraries, and frontend technologies based on technical and business requirements
• Make pragmatic architectural decisions that balance delivery needs with long-term maintainability
• Document architectural decisions, frontend patterns, interfaces, and important technical designs

System Evolution & Modernization

• Modernize existing and legacy frontend implementations
• Support migration toward modern Vue 3 and TypeScript architectures
• Refactor complex or brittle components into maintainable and well-tested solutions
• Improve frontend performance, reliability, usability, and maintainability
• Reduce unnecessary complexity and improve consistency across applications
• Identify and address technical debt in a structured and pragmatic way
• Help teams balance short-term delivery requirements with long-term technical sustainability

Technical Leadership & Collaboration

• Mentor and technically support mid-level and junior frontend developers
• Perform and contribute to code and architecture reviews
• Support technical planning, estimation, and solution design
• Work closely with backend, data, AI, product, consultancy, and infrastructure teams
• Collaborate with backend developers on API contracts and integration patterns
• Provide technical expertise in client-facing consultancy and pre-sales activities where relevant
• Communicate technical concepts, architectural decisions, risks, and trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Promote high standards for frontend engineering, usability, and code quality across the development team

Required Qualifications

• At least 5 years of professional software development experience, with substantial experience in modern frontend development
• Strong professional experience with Vue.js, preferably Vue 3, and TypeScript
• Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, or another relevant technical field
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
• Demonstrated experience designing and developing production-grade web applications
• Strong understanding of modern Vue.js development, including the Composition API and component-based application design
• Experience with frontend state management and routing
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, software engineering principles, design patterns, and clean-code practices
• Experience integrating frontend applications with REST APIs and backend services
• Experience developing responsive, data-intensive, and interactive user interfaces
• Experience with automated frontend testing, version control, code reviews, and CI/CD practices
• Experience troubleshooting and optimizing frontend applications for performance and maintainability
• Good understanding of browser technologies, web standards, security considerations, and accessibility
• Ability to independently drive technical tasks from requirements and design through implementation and production
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams
• Professional working proficiency in English

Meriting Qualifications

• Deep experience with Vue 3, Composition API, Pinia, Vue Router, and the wider Vue ecosystem
• Experience designing and maintaining reusable component libraries or design systems
• Experience with advanced data grids, complex tables, charting, or visualization libraries
• Experience developing applications involving large datasets and complex user interactions
• Experience with frontend performance profiling and optimization
• Experience with Vite and modern JavaScript/TypeScript build tooling
• Experience with end-to-end and component testing technologies such as Playwright, Cypress, or Vitest
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-based deployment environments
• Experience with Azure and the Microsoft technology ecosystem
• Understanding of Python-based backend services and APIs
• Experience integrating AI/LLM functionality into frontend applications
• Familiarity with AI-enabled user experiences such as conversational interfaces, assistants, and data exploration
• Experience with UX/UI design principles and accessibility standards
• Experience in Supply Chain, planning, optimization, or related data-intensive business domains
• Previous experience mentoring developers or acting as a technical lead

Experience with data-intensive applications, Supply Chain solutions, and AI-enabled functionality is highly valuable, but deep Vue.js, TypeScript, and frontend engineering expertise is the foundation of this role.
