About the Team

At Sigma Healthcare, our Financial Planning and Analysis team supports one of Australia's largest pharmacy networks and a leading national pharmaceutical wholesaling and distribution business. The team partners with Finance and business leaders to translate plans and performance data into clear commercial insights, strengthen forecasting and reporting, and support confident strategic and operational decisions.

About the Role

Reporting to the Financial Planning and Analysis Lead, the Senior FP&A Analyst is a hands on role responsible for delivering high quality planning, forecasting, performance analysis and data driven insights. You will work across Finance and the broader business to improve the quality of information, strengthen analytical capability and provide clear, commercially focused recommendations to decision makers.

Role Responsibilities

• Support the annual budget process and periodic forecasting cycles, including the preparation, consolidation and review of detailed financial inputs.
• Develop robust financial models, scenarios and sensitivity analysis that translate business plans and assumptions into clear financial outcomes.
• Partner with Finance and business stakeholders to validate assumptions, identify risks and opportunities and align plans with strategic objectives.
• Prepare timely monthly financial reporting, including variance analysis, commentary and recommendations for action.
• Support Board, Executive and departmental reporting packs, ensuring information is clear, consistent and useful for decision making.
• Analyse financial and non-financial information to identify performance trends, risks, opportunities and key business drivers.
• Develop and maintain KPI reporting and dashboards that provide stakeholders with a clear view of performance against plan.
• Build automated analysis tools using advanced Excel and maintain strong controls, documentation and version discipline.
• Extract, reconcile and transform data from multiple systems to improve data quality, reporting accuracy and analytical efficiency.

Who are we looking for?

• A relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce or Business, with a CA, CPA or CFA qualification or current progress towards one.
• At least three years' progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, commercial finance, business partnering or a related analytical finance role.
• Strong financial acumen and commercial judgement, with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear business insights.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel capability, including financial modelling, Power Query, pivot tables, scenario analysis and automation.
• Strong data analysis and data quality skills, with experience reconciling, cleansing and interpreting information from multiple systems.
• Highly developed written, verbal and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• Strong organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline driven environment.
• Experience in an ASX listed company, large corporate or fast paced retail, healthcare or consumer environment will be highly regarded.
• Experience with Power BI, financial planning or ERP systems, data visualisation tools or SQL will be highly regarded.
