As a Senior FP&A Analyst within the Workflow & Insights Finance team, you'll play an important role in supporting financial planning, forecasting, business performance analysis, expense management, and strategic decision-making across the business. This role goes beyond traditional FP&A responsibilities, offering exposure to strategic finance, AI-enabled finance processes, and business transformation initiatives that help build the future of finance at Nasdaq.

You'll thrive in this position if you're analytical, curious, and proactive, with strong business acumen and a passion for turning financial and operational data into meaningful business insights. You enjoy using data, analytics, technology, and AI-enabled tools to improve decision-making, simplify processes, and enhance forecasting accuracy. We're looking for someone who applies critical thinking when evaluating information, communicates complex financial concepts clearly to a broad range of audiences, and embraces a continuous learning perspective while adapting to new technologies and ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle month-end and quarter-end close activities, including accruals, purchase order and invoice tracking, variance analysis, and management reporting.
  • Support monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and long-range planning processes while identifying risks and opportunities and providing actionable recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • Partner with business leaders on spending trends, resource requirements, investment priorities, workforce planning, vendor management, efficiency analysis, and operating expense optimization initiatives.
  • Prepare financial analyses, performance reporting, KPIs, and executive-level materials that support business leadership, Corporate FP&A, and senior Finance stakeholders in making informed decisions.
  • Support business transformation and strategic initiatives while helping improve forecasting, reporting, and planning processes through automation, data-driven insights, and AI-enabled solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Shown experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Finance, Accounting, Strategic Finance, or Business Analytics.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate financial and operational information into clear business recommendations.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large and complex datasets. Experience with financial planning, reporting, and analytics tools such as Power BI, OneStream, Workday, Anaplan, Salesforce, Databricks, Microsoft 365 Copilot, or similar platforms is highly valued.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting technology, FinTech, SaaS, subscription-based, information services, or other data-driven businesses.
  • Experience with planning, reporting, and analytics tools such as OneStream, Workday, Anaplan, Salesforce, Power BI, Databricks, Microsoft 365 Copilot, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with workforce planning, long-range planning, business case development, strategic finance, process automation, business intelligence, AI tools, or finance transformation initiatives.
