Dinsmore is seeking a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join our finance team at our Cincinnati, OH location. The Senior FP&A Analyst will be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive financial and data models that support the strategic decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong financial modeling expertise, advanced Power BI and data visualization skills, hands on experience with modern analytics and automation tools, a solid understanding of financial principles, and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities
• Develops and maintains financial models to help support the Firms growth and key performance indicators
• Builds, manages, and enhances Power BI dashboards and analytics, ensuring accurate, automated, and visually compelling reporting for leadership
• Transforms complex datasets into clear insights using Power BI, DAX, and Power Query to drive data informed decisions
• Designs and implements automation solutions using analytical tools to streamline data workflows, reduce manual reporting tasks
• Analyzes financial data to identify variances, trends, anomalies and opportunities for improvement
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information for financial analysis
• Completes monthly high level and detail level analytics on the firm’s performance within given deadlines
• Support the monthly financial reporting process, including variance analysis and management reporting
• Support the annual budget and forecast processes
• Assist in the evaluation of potential investments, mergers, and acquisitions
• Continuously improving financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Provides regular and ongoing communication of various project status to finance leaders, meeting regularly to support firm initiatives
• Prepares ad hoc financial analyses, Power BI reports, and data visualizations as needed to support strategic decision making
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• 5-7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with prior operations experience (law firm experience is a plus)
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
• Experience supporting departmental leaders with insights and decision support
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Power Query Editor required
• Experience writing SQL strongly preferred
• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial statement analysis
• Excellent communication, with the ability to translate complex data for non financial stakeholders
• Professionalism with a strong sense of ownership
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
