Job Summary

Family Advisory and Trusts provides sophisticated planning advice to clients on a wide range of advisory topics, including: wealth structuring for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, investors, and business owners; estate planning; financial planning; income tax planning for founders, owners, and executives; family legacy planning, including business succession, family dynamics, and family office advisory; next gen; and philanthropy advisory and charitable giving. The Senior Financial Planner leads the delivery of comprehensive, goals-based financial planning to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and their families. In this role, the Senior Financial Planner will partner with bankers and advisors to deliver high-quality planning analyses and recommendations. This role is client-facing and execution-oriented, focusing on developing planning deliverables, participating in client conversations, and helping integrate planning insights into broader wealth management strategies. With a focus on serving business owners and innovation leaders, the Senior Financial Planner will advise on complex financial planning needs such as equity compensation, liquidity events, business succession, and concentrated position management. The Senior Financial Planner brings deep technical expertise and exceptional client-facing skills to serve as a trusted advisor to clients, mentor to colleagues, and strategic leader in advancing the firm’s financial planning capabilities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead Comprehensive Financial Planning Delivery. Prepare and deliver financial planning analyses including multi-scenario cash flow modeling, retirement distribution strategies, tax-efficient wealth transfer, philanthropic planning, education funding, concentrated position analysis, and liquidity event planning utilizing advanced financial planning software. Work with clients to translate their goals into actionable planning recommendations.
  • Serve as Trusted Client Advisor. Participate in client meetings alongside bankers to present complex financial planning concepts and recommendations in a clear, compelling, and client-centric manner. Partner with bankers and advisors to build trusted client relationships and proactively identify planning opportunities as client’s needs evolve.
  • Drive Planning Excellence. Serve as a financial planning ambassador and in-house expert to support the adoption of planning across the Private Bank. Educate bankers on the application of planning and timely planning topics. Participate in external presentations, seminars, and other business development initiatives.
  • Ongoing Learning and Collaboration. Stay current on planning best practices and regulatory considerations. Collaborate with the broader Family Advisory team, including Wealth Planners and Trust, and partner with investment, insurance, and lending specialists to support integrated client solutions.

ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Qualifications:

  • Education level required: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent)
  • Minimum experience required: 8+ Years experience in financial planning or wealth management
  • CFP® certification or active progress toward designation
  • Experience working with financial planning software and CRM tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education level preferred: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) in finance, accounting, wealth management, financial planning, or related disciplines.
  • Experience working with HNW clients
  • CPA, CTFA, or CEPA helpful but not required.

  • Physical demands (ADA): The job requires a moderate degree of physical exertion and stamina such as standing, sitting, walking, driving or infrequent lifting.

Please note our realistic expected base pay rate for this role will be between $140,000 - $170,000

Pay Range

$74,020.50 - $194,005.00
