Job Description

HAYPP GROUP

We address one of the world’s biggest problems – how to end smoking. There are 1,1 billion smokers in the world. Around 8 million people die every year from smoking-related diseases. Our goal is to significantly reduce death rates, save lives and inspire people to choose smoke-free enjoyment. How? By offering people other nicotine products online.

Haypp Group is one of the Nordics’ leading e-commerce groups with eleven store brands, present in seven countries where we serve more than 1 million active consumers. Through brands such as Snusbolaget.se, Northerner.com, Nicokick.com etc., we sell nicotine pouches, Swedish style snus online as well as disposable vapes. With our headquarters located on Östgötagatan in Stockholm we are 300 team members mainly but not exclusively based in Sweden. Also, we are an innovative and fast-moving company that is growing rapidly, driving sustainable business and are changing the world in the process. We are currently on an exciting expansion journey, converting more and more smokers to smoke-free alternatives across all our markets globally.

THE ROLE

We are now looking for a Senior Financial Controller to join our Finance team in a key role that strengthens long-term stability, ownership, and financial excellence across the organization.

The team is currently growing, and we have recently welcomed two new Financial Controllers. We now see a clear need to add further senior competence to ensure long-term sustainability and continued high quality in reporting, structure, and processes.

In this role, you will own the end-to-end closing process (K3) for one or more legal entities, while also playing an active role in group reporting and consolidation. This is a hands-on position with significant impact, where you will have the opportunity to influence ways of working, systems, and financial structures as the company continues to scale.

You will report to the Head of Accounting and collaborate closely with both local finance teams and group-level stakeholders, giving you broad exposure and strong impact across the organization.

Full-time role based in Stockholm, with three days per week in the office to enable close collaboration and team connection.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own and drive the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process (K3) for one or more entities
• Take full ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and ensure a deep understanding of both BS and P&L from an accounting and business perspective
• Prepare manual journals in ERP (NetSuite) and produce local financial statements
• Act as NetSuite system owner/administrator, including role setup and continuous system improvements
• Maintain contact with local accounting firms and ensure compliance with local regulations
• Participate in the group consolidation process on a monthly basis
• Support the preparation of quarterly external reporting together with Group Finance
• Proactively identify risks, drive process improvements, and strengthen data quality and control

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Solid experience from medium to large companies, with exposure to scale, complexity, and higher transaction volumes
• Experience from a listed company environment (or equivalent reporting standards and governance)
• Proven track record of driving process improvements, system implementations, or system ownership
• Strong experience of end-to-end closing and accounting (K3)
• High level of system maturity, preferably with NetSuite or similar ERP environments
• Ability to independently own and drive accounting and reporting in a dynamic, growing environment
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a structured way of working

Additional valuable experience

• Experience in group consolidation (e.g. Aaro or similar systems)
• Experience working in international environments and across multiple entities

• Background from Big 4 (Audit or Transaction Services)

YOU WILL PROBABLY THRIVE HERE IF YOU

• Enjoy building structure and improving processes in a growing organization
• Are used to working in a fast-paced, transaction-heavy environment
• Are hands-on, pragmatic, and take full ownership end-to-end
• Are comfortable operating in a setting with high expectations on quality, accuracy, and pace
• Want to play a key role in professionalizing and scaling a finance function
