Job Description

The Senior Financial Planning Analyst for Shared Resources plays a critical role in supporting institutional shared resources operations that provide essential services to St. Jude researchers. This position partners closely with operational and scientific leadership to ensure financial sustainability, efficiency, and data integrity across shared service platforms.

This position partners closely with operational, financial, and scientific leadership to support the strategic and financial planning of shared resources, ensuring financial sustainability, appropriate cost allocation, regulatory compliance, and transparency in pricing and expense recovery. The role is instrumental in enabling researchers’ access to high-quality services while maintaining operational efficiency, data integrity, and alignment with institutional goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and coordinate annual budget, monthly financial variance analysis, and charge level direct cost for assigned departments.
  • Participate in quarterly forecast, and annual budget processes for the department.
  • Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of compliance with contract policies and procedures.
  • Ensure data integrity in the company’s financials and raise potential issues to management in a timely manner.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency/ automate current processes to enable focus on analytics and insights.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance.

Minimum Education and/or Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field of study required.

Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum Requirement: 4+ years of experience in management/administration of financial/budgetary processes within a healthcare setting.
  • Experience with budget and general ledger system.
  • Some experience developing cost accounting systems preferred.
  • Proven performance in earlier role.

Compensation

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $78,000 - $139,360 per year for the role of Senior Financial Analyst - Shared Resource Administration.
