Senior Financial Analyst – Benchmarking Team – Corporate Location

Channel your top-notch reporting and data analysis skills at the nation’s largest private not-for-profit medical center, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Financial Analyst. In this role, the Senior Financial Analyst supports the Vizient Hospital Benchmarking Program through end-to-end ownership of operational data submission, advanced analytics, and insight delivery. This role is responsible for the collection, validation, and submission of hospital operational data to the Vizient Operational Database (ODB), ensuring data quality, compliance, and benchmark integrity. The position requires strong analytical judgment, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to operate independently in a complex, data-rich environment while continuously identifying opportunities to improve data quality, analytical rigor, and benchmarking insights.

As a senior individual contributor, the analyst independently analyzes large, complex datasets and translates ODB and internal data into actionable insights focused on labor, productivity, and expense optimization. The role develops scalable Power BI dashboards and automated analytical solutions using advanced Excel, VBA, SQL, and emerging AI capabilities. Acting as a trusted partner, the Senior Financial Analyst communicates insights clearly, influences decision-making, and contributes to the evolution of benchmarking methodologies and best practices.

Preferred Criteria

  • Degree or major in Accounting/Finance

Required Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related discipline
  • Knowledge of reimbursement methodologies
  • Knowledge of budgeting & cost accounting
