Public Storage is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support our Facilities and Asset Management organization. This role will be a key partner in driving expense and capital financial planning and analysis, supporting forecasting, close activities, and executive reporting. The ideal candidate is analytically strong, collaborative, and comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, improving forecast accuracy, and delivering clear insights to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead expense and capital FP&A responsibilities, including monthly and quarterly close, quarterly forecasts, and the annual operating plan
  • Prepare and communicate variance analysis, management reporting, and required corporate deliverables
  • Partner closely with the Data Analytics team to maintain existing reports and develop new tools that enhance forecast accuracy and provide senior leadership with actionable guidance.
  • Collaborate with Accounting to ensure costs are recorded accurately and propose journal entries as needed
  • Support ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as business needs arise

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Investment Banking, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of relevant financial analysis or FP&A experience
  • Proven experience building strong cross-functional relationships at all organizational levels
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar data visualization tools
  • Experience working with SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Basic understanding of SQL or similar querying languages (preferred, not required)
