The Senior Financial Analyst supports forecasting, financial planning, reporting, and business analysis across the organization. This role partners with business leaders and finance teams to provide actionable insights, improve forecast accuracy, and support operational and financial decision-making.

Reporting to the FP&A Manager, the successful candidate will combine strong analytical skills with business partnership to help drive company performance and continuous improvement.

What You Will Do

  • Financial Planning & Forecasting
  • Support monthly forecasting processes for operating expenses, headcount, and departmental spending.
  • Assist with annual budget preparation and long-range planning activities.
  • Maintain and enhance forecasting models, planning templates, and financial tools.
  • Analyze key business drivers and identify forecast risks and opportunities.
  • Support the consolidation of departmental forecasts and planning assumptions.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis
  • Prepare monthly management reporting packages and financial summaries.
  • Conduct Budget vs. Actual and Forecast vs. Actual variance analysis.
  • Investigate variances and explain financial performance trends and drivers.
  • Provide meaningful commentary, recommendations, and insights to support management decision-making.
  • Respond to ad hoc analytical requests from business leaders and finance leadership.
  • Business Partnership
  • Partner with operational leaders to understand activities affecting financial performance and business results.
  • Support discussions related to departmental spending, resource requirements, capital investments, and operational initiatives.
  • Communicate financial information clearly and effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Develop a strong understanding of manufacturing operations and key business drivers.
  • Month-End Support
  • Review monthly financial results and investigate significant variances.
  • Work closely with Accounting to understand actual results and reporting impacts.
  • Support headcount and personnel cost analysis.
  • Ensure forecast assumptions appropriately reflect current business performance and emerging trends.
  • Reporting & Process Improvement
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and management reporting tools.
  • Support reporting automation and continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Improve the efficiency, accuracy, and standardization of FP&A processes.
  • Leverage Excel, ERP systems, and business intelligence tools to enhance reporting capabilities and business insights.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3-6 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, or a related finance function.
  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • CPA designation completed or in progress.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, technology, industrial, or other operational environment.
  • Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence and reporting tools.
  • Experience developing dashboards, KPI frameworks, and management reporting packages.
  • Experience supporting annual budgeting and long-range planning processes.
  • Experience with financial process improvement and reporting automation initiatives.
