Senior Financial Analyst - (26005323)
The Senior Financial Analyst serves as the primary fiscal manager for multiple business/auxiliary units in Finance & Operations, providing financial leadership, strategic analysis, budgeting and operational support. This position is not eligible for University sponsorship for employment authorization.Duties to Include: Develop and prepare annual operating budgets for assigned units.Prepare complex recurring and non-routine financial reports and reconciliations.Perform complex financial, operational, and statistical analysis using university financial systems and data.Ensure compliance with university policies, accounting standards, and applicable regulations.Location: University Capitol Centre (UCC)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, position would work fully on campus for approximately 6 months. After this time, a hybrid option may be available.
Salary: The hiring range for this position is anticipated to be $70,000–$85,000. Salary offers are based on a variety of factors, including education, experience, skills, and budget considerations. Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.Three to five years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, accounting, financial reporting or financial management.Experience preparing, analyzing, and presenting complex financial reports, reconciliations, forecasts and financial models.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, including ability to identify financial trends, variances, and discrepancies and recommend appropriate solutions.Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience using financial reporting systems, financial data sources, or reporting tools.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present and explain financial information to leadership, business partners, and other stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, meet deadlines and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.Desired Qualifications:Experience working in higher education or another large, complex organization.Experience with enterprise financial systems and business reporting tools.Knowledge of university financial policies, procedures and fund accounting principles.Position and Application Details:
