Senior Financial Analyst
This position exists to strengthen the Cooperative's financial decision-making through forward-looking analysis, financial modeling, and disciplined evaluation of alternatives. The Senior Financial Analyst develops and maintains long-range financial models, with particular emphasis on CFC Compass/CompassPro and related CFC financial tools, and translates complex financial information into practical recommendations for leadership. This is a Finance role focused on forecasting, scenario analysis, capital planning, debt strategy, rates, liquidity, and financial stewardship-not transactional accounting.
Internal Responsibility - Serves as a highly analytical individual contributor within Finance. Partners with the Controller, Vice President of Finance, and other leaders to develop reliable financial forecasts, evaluate major financial decisions, and improve the Cooperative's ability to understand the long-term consequences of current decisions.
External Responsibility - Works effectively with CFC and other lenders, financial advisors, auditors, consultants, and industry resources as needed to ensure TCEC's modeling assumptions, financing alternatives, and financial practices reflect reasonable electric cooperative best practices.
Education and Experience: A bachelor's degree in Finance is strongly preferred. A bachelor's degree in Accounting may be considered when accompanied by demonstrated experience in financial modeling, forecasting, corporate finance, treasury, or financial planning and analysis. A bachelor's degree in economics, business, mathematics, data analytics, or another relevant field may be considered when substantial directly relevant experience demonstrates the financial judgment and modeling capability required for the role.
Financial Modeling Experience: Demonstrated experience building, maintaining, and interpreting multi-year financial models is required. Experience with CFC Compass/CompassPro is strongly preferred; electric cooperative, utility, lender, FP&A, treasury, corporate finance, or similar capital-intensive industry experience is highly desirable. The successful candidate must be able to move beyond historical reporting and use financial information to evaluate future alternatives.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Advanced Excel and financial modeling capability are required. Must demonstrate strong analytical judgment, intellectual curiosity, attention to model integrity, and the ability to explain complex financial relationships in plain language. Must be comfortable questioning assumptions, working with incomplete information, developing reasonable alternatives, and making practical recommendations. Familiarity with CFC, RUS Form 7, cooperative finance, debt structures, rates, liquidity, equity, and lender metrics is beneficial. Strong written and oral communication skills and professional discretion are required.

Tri-County Electric Cooperative is a member-owned electric provider based in Aledo, Texas. With 9,294 miles of energized line and over 120,00 active meters, we are one of the largest electric co-ops in Texas.
