This is a full-time Senior Financial Analystposition located in Provo, Utah The individual we are looking for is someone who enjoys working in a team environment and excels working at an individual level.

Responsibilities include:
Financial Reporting & Analysis (30% – Weekly): Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators to support business decisions
Budgeting & Forecasting (25% – Monthly/Quarterly): Assist in the development of annual budgets and rolling forecasts; monitor performance against targets and identify variances
Data Modeling & Scenario Analysis (15% – As Needed): Build and maintain financial models to evaluate business initiatives, investments, and strategic plans
Stakeholder Communication (10% – Weekly): Present financial insights and recommendations to business leaders and cross-functional teams in clear, concise formats
Process Improvement (10% – Monthly): Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and improve the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations
Ad Hoc Analysis (10% – As Needed): Support various departments with special projects and deep-dive analyses to address emerging business questions or challenges
Identify the root cause of budget variances, forecasting in uncertain or rapidly changing business environments, and reconciling discrepancies across data sources
Resolve issues with strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of financial principles
Use tools such as Excel, ERP systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle), and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Sigma, Power BI, Tableau)
Rely on internal resources, including financial policies, historical data, and collaboration with cross-functional teams such as accounting, operations, and business unit leaders
Make independent decisions on routine tasks such as selecting appropriate financial models, determining how to present data for clarity, and identifying key metrics or variances to highlight in reports by using guided by internal policies, company financial procedures, and standard reporting frameworks
Consult with Senior Finance Leaders or Business Unit Managers on more complex decisions, such as recommending changes to forecasts, proposing budget reallocations, or interpreting the financial impact of strategic initiatives, before final actions are taken
Escalate initiatives when decisions could significantly affect financial results, compliance, or resource allocation
Collaborate regularly with the finance team and department leaders internally, while externally coordinating with auditors and vendors for compliance and data analysis
Support the organization’s financial health and strategic decisions by delivering accurate financial reports, insightful analysis, and well-informed forecasts
Help leadership identify trends, manage costs, and allocate resources effectively
Contribute directly to improved budget accuracy, operational efficiency, and profitability, driving both short-term performance and long-term financial planning
Determine measurable outcomes that may include cost savings through variance analysis, enhanced forecasting accuracy, and improved decision-making through timely, data-driven insights
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a Business-related field
MBA (Masters Business Administration) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is preferred and may enhance advancement opportunities
Requirements:
5- 7 years of relevant financial analysis or related experience
Experience in financial modeling, data validation, and effective communication is key to resolving issues efficiently and delivering actionable insights
Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles (GAAP), and financial reporting
Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle) and financial planning tools
Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis
Proficiency in data visualization tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings to stakeholders
Ability to analyze complex data sets and translate them into actionable insights
Ability to develop innovative financial models and reporting tools that enhance decision-making and drive business improvements
Skilled in identifying financial trends, diagnosing issues, and proposing effective solutions to improve profitability and operational efficiency
Capable of clearly presenting complex financial data and insights to both financial and non-financial stakeholders, adapting messaging to the audience’s level of understanding
