About the Role
Shamrock Trading Corporation is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. As our Senior Financial Analyst, you will identify high potential areas of growth, improved profitability, or efficiency gains to target for further evaluation. Provide input for prioritizing efforts in the areas of business intelligence and data analytics. To be successful as a senior financial analyst, you should be able to perform a variety of financial activities including planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting. You should also have strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and be able to present financial information and models in a concise and easily comprehensible manner.
What You’ll Do
• Reviewing and analyzing financial statements and reports
• Reviews complex financial accounting work processes, systems, and procedures for efficient workflow and conformity with accounting principles
• Organize data into accessible reports and perform various types of analysis
• Assisting with budgeting and monthly close processes
• Collaborates with appropriate team members to provide them with the financial tools to be successful in achieving their goals
• Analyze financial data and provide forecasting support
• Performing research and analysis as required
• Maintains or assists with maintenance of accounting information systems
• Comply with Shamrocks procedures and policies
• Perform other tasks for the Controller or executive team as needed
What You’ll Bring
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of professional experience as an analyst, accountant, or auditor
• Sufficient physical ability to work in an office setting, sit for prolonged periods of time, and operate office equipment
• Possesses thorough knowledge of financial accounting procedures and policies
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Complete understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Thorough comprehension of generally accepted auditing standards
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, analytical and organizational skills
• Possesses strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to successfully meet deadlines
• Ability to present financial information to a non-financial audience
• Ability to convey a professional and positive image and attitude and foster a team-based environment
• Flexible and capable of responding quickly and positively to shifting demands
• Must be available to be onsite at our Overland Park, KS office
