We're currently looking for a Financial Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team and play a critical role in delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls and supporting key business decisions.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll be responsible for supporting the month-end close process, statutory reporting, tax compliance, audit activities and financial analysis across the business.

You'll also have the opportunity to lead and develop two offshore team members while contributing to ongoing process improvement initiatives that enhance the effectiveness of the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate and timely month-end reporting and financial commentary
• Prepare journals, balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
• Support banking, statutory reporting and external audit requirements
• Prepare monthly BAS returns and assist with taxation compliance obligations
• Manage intercompany reconciliations and consolidation activities
• Partner with business stakeholders to resolve financial issues and improve reporting outcomes
• Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes
• Conduct financial analysis and variance reporting
• Lead and develop a small offshore team
• Drive process improvement and automation opportunities

About You

You are a technically strong accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and thrives on solving problems and continuously improving ways of working.

You'll bring:

• CA or CPA qualification
• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce or Business
• Experience in a Financial Accountant role within a commercial or chartered environment
• Strong financial reporting, reconciliation and compliance experience
• Experience leading, coaching or mentoring junior team members
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical capability
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
