Senior Financial Accountant

Compensation: €70,000 - €80,000 / year

ES Talent Management are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Qualified Senior Financial Accountant to join our clients finance team on a 3-6-month contract basis with a very strong possibility of it becoming a permanent opportunity.

The location is Dublin 22 and you will be required to come to the office.

This role will play a key part in supporting the month-end close process, statutory reporting, financial controls, and business partnering activities during a period of change and growth.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with strong technical accounting expertise, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Management of financial operations of company and subsidiaries
Delegation and overseeing activities staff in finance department
Ownership of month end closing activities
Monthly management accounts e.g., consolidated P&L, balance sheet & variance analyses
Oversight of payroll, cashflow, monthly reconciliations, expenses, ad hoc reporting
Filing various tax returns with all relevant authorities
Liaise with external auditors
Preparation of statutory accounts for subsidiaries
Assist with the introduction of any new group processes or procedures
Assist with the implementation of ERP system within the organisation
Participate in ad hoc projects and provide financial analysis to senior management.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA)
At least 3 years’ experience working in a similar role
Technically strong accountant
Excellent ERP & Excel skills
Excellent adaptability and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively.

Desirable

Experience working within a multinational or large scale organisation.
Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
Experience supporting finance process improvement or transformation projects.
