The team

Our dedicated Financial Reporting & Corporate Advisory team create value and improve the way our clients work. They play a crucial role in providing comprehensive accounting and financial services to our clients internal finance functions on a contractual basis.

The role

The primary purpose of this position is to support the management of client engagements, mentor and train junior staff, and deliver high-quality accounting solutions to meet clients' needs. The Senior Accountant ensures high-quality financial management service to clients while fostering robust relationships and meeting contractual obligations. Your accountabilities may include:

• Supporting Supervisors and Managers in meeting client needs and ensuring satisfaction.
• Completing tailored Month End sections for clients.
• Implementing process improvements and staying updated on industry trends.
• Supporting finance processes to identify improvements.
• Providing professional guidance on compliance.
• Building strong client relationships.
• Ensuring accurate financial reporting and assisting with budgeting.
• Tracking KPIs and provide performance reporting.
• Supporting cash flow management.
• Providing expertise in management accounting.

About you

The successful candidate will have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• Completed or are studying toward a CA (Chartered Accountant), CPA (Certified Practicing Accountant) qualification or equivalent.
• Significant experience in accounting and statutory reporting, preferably in a public practice or consulting environment.
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, financial reporting, and financial analysis techniques.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate financial data.
• The ability to analyse and interpret financial statements.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and financial management systems.
• Outstanding communication skills, written and spoken, comfortable communicating with individuals across all levels of an organisation.
• Extensive experience in writing reports, observations and communicating results and outcomes to varied audiences.
• A commitment to and understanding of the importance of relationship building, with your colleagues, community and your clients.
