The Opportunity

We are looking for an accomplished Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance team as part of our financial services business in Grand Cayman.

The Cayman Islands is home to our global headquarters and where the Maples Group first established operations in the 1960s. Since then we have grown to become one of the largest employers in Cayman, where colleagues from all over the world collaborate to deliver best-in-class solutions to clients worldwide. As part of our Caymanteamyou will:

  • Implement and upholding accounting policiesand procedures
  • Report on financial performanceviamonthly management accounts
  • Prepareannual audited financial statements for multiple legal entities, including stand alone and consolidated structures
  • Preparestatutory and regulatory submissions
  • Drivetheannual budgetingprocess
  • Provide oversight of financial cycles such as cash receipts, accounts payable (including liaising with external vendors), billings and accruals
  • Partner with the business and other departments on financial matters

What You Bring

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:

  • Education:Qualified accountancy professional (ACA/ACCA)
  • Experience:Approx.3years post qualificationexperience, ideally gained within a “Big 4 “ environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management, organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to display analytical and pragmatic thinking
  • Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standardsparticularly IFRS 15 and IFRS 16
