Our award-winning client is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their team. This is your chance to make a real impact. You'll be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing regulatory reporting, and collaborating with various departments to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements (income statements, balance sheets) and regulatory reports (NCUA 5300 Call Reports).

• Perform financial research, monitor financial conditions, and present recommendations.

• Assist with daily, weekly, and month-end accounting processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.

• Ensure all reports, accounts, and systems comply with GAAP and regulatory requirements.

• Support with internal and external audits.

• Attend meetings and participate in assigned committees.

• Manage cash accounts, prepare daily entries, and investigate variances.

• Assist with annual budgeting and monthly variance analysis.

• Support Accounts Payable functions as needed.

• Collaborate with colleagues on high-volume accounts and reconciliations.

• Implement process improvements and streamline workflows.

• Ensure transactions are properly authorized and comply with company policies.

• Stay up-to-date on relevant federal and state regulations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred, with 5-8 years of accounting experience (banking or similar environment).

• Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP.

• Experience with general ledger/reporting, Excel, and financial analysis tools.

• Understanding of economic markets, industry conditions, and regulations.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
