Senior Finance System Integrations Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Finance System Integrations Analyst to help drive delivery of Finance System Integration Solutions across the Howden Finance ecosystem. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between finance business requirements and IT systems, ensuring seamless, scalable and efficient integrations. This role requires a proactive and strategic thinker who can translate business needs into the most efficient technical, automated and compliant solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance (insurance/broking) and IT, with a passion for driving true business transformation through technology, automation, data and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with business and IT teams to translate finance requirements into solutions with data contracts and process documentation.
  • Work closely with Group IT Enterprise Architecture to ensure support of reviewing and governing the solution architecture for all Finance System Integration solution deliveries, ensuring integrity of the solution architecture and key design decisions in line with technical suitability, Group standards, policies and principles.
  • Defining solutions (where required) and providing Finance Systems Integration guidance and management services for change planning & delivery with the objective of ensuring alignment to Group’s strategic objectives, compliance to Group policies and conformance to Group standards.
  • Reviewing, introducing and maintaining principles and standards for design governance in line with evolving business needs and Group policies
  • Ensuring timely delivery of high-quality Finance System Integration Solution activities and deliverables to support SAD documentation creation by Group IT architecture, support representation at ARB, and support CAB presentation or other Governance committees where required.
  • Ensure adherence to DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act) requirements, including information security standards, incident reporting protocols, and regulatory compliance obligations in all specifications
  • Ensure error handling is identified and specified in accordance with the process in question
  • Perform financial data analysis for system-to-system integration with business user outputs being a key driver and deliverable.
  • Document progress, issues, and solutions from a finance business perspective.
  • Create automated system reconciliation processes and maintain process documentation.
  • Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements in finance and across key stakeholders.
  • Support end users for finance and accounting processes, including month-end close, reporting, and planning.
  • Coordinate and document end-user testing, of changes, new deliverables, upgrades/releases, and maintenance patches to enterprise applications within the finance change remit
  • Lead runbook development with appropriate teams and handover to BAU / support for post implementation activity.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous BA experience in Finance Systems, Finance Transformation, and/or Systems implementation projects/programmes.
  • Lucidchart, Visio, or other BPM documentation experience.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo constructively, with standardisation (data/process) and addressing control/risks as key deliverables.
  • Experience in finance systems (e.g., Unit4 / CODA / Workday etc).
  • Experience in working Insurance Broking Accounting systems/solutions and Policy Administration system technology.
  • Strong skills in Excel, SQL, ETL, APIs and / or Middleware.
  • Experience in business requirement elicitation and documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.

Desirable Skills:

  • Lean / Six Sigma certification desirable, not essential.
  • Experience in insurance/broking industry
