Job Purpose
Leads and owns statutory compliance, tax compliance and financial reporting activities for the local entity, ensuring accurate, complete and timely reporting in accordance with local accounting regulations, legal requirements and corporate policies. The role acts as the primary local finance owner for statutory accounts, tax filings, audit matters, regulatory submissions and related compliance, working closely with the Shared Service Center and Corporate Accounting team.
A glimpse of your daily mission
- Prepare and publish the month-end financial reporting package, including account reconciliations in accordance with company accounting policies and procedures.
- Analyze and interpret financial cost data to ensure transactions are accurately posted to the appropriate accounts and cost centers.
- Coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities, including reserve reviews and the submission of year-end financial information to the Corporate team.
- Coordinate with the Local Shared Service Center on accounting entries, accruals, provisions and reporting adjustments, ensuring compliance and timely resolution of reporting issues.
- Manage local tax, legal and statutory filings in accordance with market requirements and applicable regulations.
- Support the review and monitoring of fixed assets, including approved spending and the annual fixed asset count.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits, working with auditors, tax advisors and relevant authorities when required.
- Prepare financial reports, analyses and other ad hoc information requested by management.
- Contribute to continuous improvements in internal controls, processes and systems, while supporting operational efficiency.
Your Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or an equivalent qualification.
- Local Chartered Accountant qualification ("Contabilista Certificado").
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial reporting, statutory accounting, tax compliance, audit coordination or related finance roles.
- Experience in a multinational company, manufacturing environment or accounting/audit firm is considered an advantage.
- Experience coordinating internal and external audits and working with auditors, tax advisors and regulatory authorities.
- Strong proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Excel and financial reporting and reconciliation tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proactive, hands-on and results-oriented, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multicultural team.
