Job Responsibilities :

This is global role in supporting Razer Gold entities from Singapore and Australia.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and ensure timely accounts closing. Ensure all financial statements are accurate, reliable and comply with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Perform monthly financial analysis such as revenue analysis, gross profit margin, expenses fluctuation for financial review and presentation.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies in analyzing Balance Sheet, Income Statements and Cash Flows Statements to identify any areas of concern.
  • Responsible in cash flow analysis and cash flow projection to identify any areas where cash flow can be optimized and help the company plan for future cash needs.
  • Regularly communicates with foreign business team to obtain additional information, clarify accounting policies, and address any issues or concerns.
  • Act skeptically to manage risk by identifying potential issues before they become major problems. Always challenge numbers provided by business team.
  • Coordinate with local auditors/local tax consultant for audit/financial and banking matters by providing information and responding to queries.
  • Manage compliance with Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) safeguarding requirements, including daily monitoring of safeguarded balances, assessment of funding requirements, and recommendation of fund transfers between safeguarding and operational accounts.
  • Willing to work outside of regular business hours or adjusting working schedule to accommodate time zone differences.
  • Provide timely responses to any queries or requests from foreign entities.
  • Ensure the foreign entities are complies with local financial regulations and tax laws.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform financial close activities and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare management accounts, financial reports, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Maintain the integrity of accounting records and ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data.
  • Prepare statutory financial statements and support internal and external audit requirements.
  • Support regulatory reporting and compliance requirements, including MAS reporting obligations where applicable.
  • Coordinate and liaise with auditors, tax consultants, company secretaries, banks, and regulatory authorities on finance-related matters.
  • Support tax compliance activities, including GST/VAT, withholding tax, and corporate tax matters where applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, internal controls, company policies, and statutory requirements.
  • Support cash management activities, including monitoring cash positions and cash funding requirements where necessary.
  • Drive continuous process improvements and support system enhancement, automation, and finance transformation initiatives.
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects and assignments as assigned by management.

Pre-Requisites :

  • Education & Professional Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
    • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, CA, or equivalent) would be advantageous.
  • Experience

    • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, or Record-to-Report (R2R) functions.
    • Experience in managing full set accounts and financial close activities.
    • Experience in preparing management accounts, financial reports, and supporting schedules.
    • Experience in statutory reporting, audit support, and financial compliance activities.
    • Experience in supporting regulatory reporting and compliance requirements, including MAS submissions for Singapore-regulated entities, would be an advantage.
    • Experience liaising with auditors, tax consultants, company secretaries, banks, and regulatory authorities.
    • Exposure to multinational corporations, shared services environments, or regional finance operations would be an advantage.
    • Experience supporting multiple entities across different jurisdictions is preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge

    • Good understanding of IFRS and financial reporting requirements.
    • Strong knowledge of financial close processes, account reconciliations, and general ledger management.
    • Familiarity with statutory reporting and regulatory compliance requirements.
    • Knowledge of indirect tax compliance requirements, including GST/VAT and withholding tax where applicable.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
    • Experience working with SAP or other ERP systems in a finance and accounting environment.
