Job Description

Keystone Human Services is currently seeking a full time Senior Finance Specialist, to join our team of professionals in making a positive difference in the lives of our neighbors and the community.

The Senior Finance Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of the organization’s financial operations. This position is responsible for processing financial transactions in accordance with funder requirements, completing selected balance sheet reconciliations, and managing designated banking activities. The Senior Finance Specialist monitors transactional data for inconsistencies or risks and proactively communicates concerns, trends, and recommendations to organizational leadership. This role supports strong financial stewardship by maintaining high standards of precision, timeliness, and compliance across all assigned financial functions.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Completes bank account reconciliations with accuracy and timeliness
  • Processes recurring and ad‑hoc monthly bank transactions and prepares related journal entries
  • Enters financial data into the financial information system in accordance with funder requirements and internal policies
  • Manages supplier‑related finance processes, including ACH enrollment, address updates, electronic invoice submission, and collection of updated W‑9s for assigned areas
  • Reviews and processes employee expense reports in compliance with funder rules and internal procedures
  • Provides training and ongoing support to employees on expense report requirements and system use
  • Performs assigned month‑end and year‑end close activities, including reconciliations and financial analysis, within established deadlines
  • Supports continuous departmental improvement efforts, including process enhancements and system upgrades
  • Participates in cross‑functional projects and initiatives as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of related work experience
  • Associate’s degree in a related field
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing and to be able to read, interpret and apply written information.
  • Intermediate computer skills, ability to use and learn Human Resources Information Systems and other web-based systems
  • Successful completion of the pre-employment process, including motor vehicle record and criminal background checks
  • Full time, Non exempt position
  • Hybrid remote position, working remotely and out of the Harrisburg office
