Job Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the implementation and integration of Sandoz financial reporting systems and tools in alignment with global standards and processes and monitoring and advising on project costs and schedules to ensure they align with the Site Ramp up and development plan. Acting as a key business partner to the Head of Finance at the site, Site Leadership Team, and the Global Finance STO team, the role drives value creation, manages risks and costs, supports planning cycles, and ensures the highest level of financial compliance.

Success will be achieved through close collaboration with Global Operations Finance teams, including STO, Development and FRA Operations, ensuring seamless connectivity between site-level activities and global reporting and planning frameworks.

Major Accountabilities

Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis

Support to monitor analysis of site financial performance including CAPEX management and project budgets, ensuring robust tracking of expenditures and strict compliance with approved financial plans.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Long-Term Planning

Own and oversee the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial planning, ensuring alignment with global standards and STO objectives.

Schedule & Progress Governance Monitor Site project progress against approved timelines and baselines. Provide proactive guidance and strategic recommendations to Global Engineering, Global Development and Site Leadership teams to mitigate delays and keep projects on track.

Resource Planning & Optimization Partner with Site Management, functional teams, and P&O to ensure availability and optimal allocation of resources—materials, skilled personnel, and financial capacity—to meet project objectives.

Advanced Reporting & Analysis: Deliver comprehensive financial and progress reports for senior stakeholders, including cash flow analysis and key project metrics, ensuring transparency and actionable insights.

Compliance & Governance

Ensure adherence to Sandoz financial compliance standards and governance frameworks. Act as a senior liaison for site and global finance in managing relationships with external auditors and key stakeholders.

Ideal Background

Education

University Degree in Economics / BA / Engineering; MBA desirable

Languages :

English (fluent), French (desirable)

Experience:

>7 years experience in FP&A and/or controlling in manufacturing / Research & Development organizations

Experience in project controlling in manufacturing area is desirable

Experience in leadership roles is desirable
