A Day in the Life

The Senior Finance Manager, Service & Repair will serve as the strategic finance partner to the Eurasia Service Commercial organization. This role will provide financial leadership, business insights, and decision support to accelerate service revenue growth, improve profitability, strengthen operational performance, and optimize investments across both regions.

Located at Medtronic’s office in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, this role is onsite three days per week. Travel is required for the role.

The Senior Finance Manager will partner closely with Service & Repair leadership, regional finance teams, operating units, commercial leaders, and global functional partners. The role is responsible for establishing strong financial operating mechanisms, improving forecast accuracy, and translating complex financial and operational information into clear business actions.

This position requires a strategic and enterprise-minded finance leader with strong commercial and operational business acumen. The successful candidate will communicate with clarity, simplify complexity, and translate financial insights into compelling business recommendations. The role requires the ability to influence and constructively challenge senior leaders, build trusted relationships across the organization, and drive accountability for results and follow-through..

Primary Responsibilities

Strategic Finance Partnership

  • Serve as the primary finance partner to the Eurasia Service Commercial leadership teams.

  • Provide financial insights and recommendations that support service revenue growth, margin expansion, and long-range strategic priorities.

  • Translate business strategies into measurable financial objectives, performance indicators, and execution plans.

  • Evaluate business opportunities, investments, commercial initiatives, and operating model changes through financial modeling and scenario analysis.

  • Constructively challenge business assumptions and influence decisions that improve financial and operational outcomes.

Financial Planning, Service Performance, and Governance

  • Lead annual operating planning, forecasting, long-range planning, and monthly financial review processes for the supported organizations.

  • Establish clear financial targets and actionable performance insights across revenue, margin, headcount, productivity, pricing, contract performance, cost-to-serve, and key service metrics.

  • Improve forecast accuracy and business performance by identifying key drivers, risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.

  • Partner with Eurasia Service Commercial leadership to evaluate growth opportunities, commercial initiatives, investments, and resource-allocation decisions.

  • Drive accountability for financial commitments while ensuring accurate reporting, data integrity, strong internal controls, and compliance with corporate policies and accounting standards.

Leadership and Collaboration

  • Build trusted relationships across Service & Repair, regional finance, operating units, commercial organizations, and global functions.

  • Influence outcomes effectively within a complex, global matrix organization.

  • Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Foster knowledge sharing and alignment across the broader global Service & Repair Finance organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or a related discipline.

  • Eight or more years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, financial planning and analysis, commercial finance, or operational finance.

  • Demonstrated experience leading planning, forecasting, financial analysis, and performance-management processes.

  • Experience supporting a complex, global, or highly matrixed organization.

  • Previous people-leadership, team-leadership, or talent-development experience.

  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and translate financial information into clear business recommendations.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively across regions, cultures, and time zones.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related discipline.

  • CPA, CMA, or comparable professional finance certification.

  • Experience supporting service delivery, repair operations, field service, aftermarket services, commercial organizations, or recurring service revenue models.

  • Experience working across APAC and Eurasia markets.
