Job Description

Overview

The Devices Business Desk serves as the pricing governance engine for enterprise device opportunities, ensuring pricing decisions balance growth, competitiveness, and gross margin objectives. This role partners across Sales, GTM, Category, Finance, and Operations to establish pricing frameworks, evaluate strategic deals, enable the field, and provide governance for special pricing investments globally. This role will partner with the EMEA time zone and require earlier start time most days.

Responsibilities

Business Desk Frameworks & Strategy

  • Own and evolve pricing empowerment frameworks, approval principles, and governance processes.
  • Develop scalable decision frameworks that enable consistent pricing outcomes across regions and markets.
  • Partner with Finance leadership to define pricing strategy, investment guardrails, and governance policies.
  • Drive continuous improvement and automation of pricing tools, reporting, and workflows.

Pricing Governance & Deal Management

  • Lead review and approval of enterprise device pricing requests and special pricing investments.
  • Assess complex deal structures to ensure alignment with margin targets, financial objectives, and pricing policies.
  • Drive recommendations for executive-level deal escalation and Deal Acceleration Reviews (DAR).
  • Balance growth opportunities with sustainable profitability and long-term business health.

Field Enablement & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a trusted advisor to sales teams on pricing strategy, investment decisions, and deal construction.
  • Deliver training and guidance on pricing programs, business desk principles, DAR processes, and multinational account programs.
  • Influence cross-functional stakeholders to align on strategic pricing decisions and business tradeoffs.
  • Build strong partnerships across Sales, GTM, Product Marketing, Category, Finance, and Operations organizations.

Financial Analysis & Decision Support

  • Evaluate gross margin impact, pricing competitiveness, ROI, and financial risks associated with strategic deals.
  • Analyze historical pricing trends, deal economics, volume assumptions, and business outcomes.
  • Create executive-ready recommendations and present pricing strategies to senior leadership.
  • Support monthly and quarterly reviews of pricing investments and business performance.

Program Leadership

  • Lead global pricing programs, including special pricing governance and multinational account processes.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify business processes, improve seller experiences, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Establish reporting and insights to measure program effectiveness, policy compliance, and financial outcomes.

Qualifications

Required Qualificiations

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Finance, Pricing, Deal Desk, Commercial Strategy, Sales Operations, or related disciplines.
  • Strong financial modeling and business case analysis skills.
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders across matrixed organizations.
  • Ability to balance customer needs, business growth, and profitability objectives.
  • Experience with enterprise technology, devices, or commercial sales organizations.
  • Deal desk, pricing governance, or commercial finance experience.
  • Knowledge of margin management, investment frameworks, and pricing strategy.
  • Experience leading global programs and process transformation initiatives.
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills.

Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $97,600 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $125,000 - $206,400 per year.
