Our client is a well-established logistics and container services provider with operations across Malaysia. The Penang office operates as a lean finance outpost, working closely with the larger finance hub in Shah Alam.

Role Overview

This position is ideal for someone with solid experience in
Accounts Receivable, collections, and credit control
. You will manage the full AR cycle for the Malaysian market, including issuing invoices, following up on outstanding payments, and monitoring customer credit. As the primary finance staff member in Penang, you will also handle general administrative and office-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Manage the
  full cycle of Accounts Receivable
  , including invoicing, statement preparation, and payment posting.

• 
  Perform
  credit control duties
  : monitor aging, chase overdue payments, and maintain strong follow-up with customers.

• 
  Contact customers via calls and email regarding outstanding invoices, ensuring timely collections and resolution of disputes.

• 
  Support month-end AR reporting and assist with cashflow-related updates.

• 
  Handle
  office administration
  duties such as documentation, filing, coordination, and general office support.

• 
  Liaise with internal teams and customers involved in container sales and logistics services.

• 
  Provide ad-hoc support to finance leadership as needed.

Requirements

Requirements

• 
  Minimum
  3 years of experience
  in Accounts Receivable and credit control.

• 
  Strong understanding of the
  end-to-end AR process
  (non-negotiable).

• 
  Experience in collections and debt recovery, preferably with high-volume follow-ups.

• 
  Prior experience in
  logistics, shipping, or transportation
  is an added advantage.

• 
  Knowledge of full-set accounts is beneficial but not mandatory.

• 
  Strong communication skills with the confidence to follow up firmly and professionally.

• 
  Ability to work independently.

• 
  Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable handling both finance and office admin tasks.
