We're looking for a Senior Finance & Compensation Analyst to join our Total Rewards team. This role is ideal for a highly analytical professional who enjoys solving complex business problems, building financial models, interpreting data, and influencing strategic decisions.

Working closely with Human Resources, Finance, Legal, and business leaders, you'll provide insights and recommendations that shape compensation strategy across the organization, support executive compensation programs, and contribute to initiatives presented to Senior Leadership.

If you're energized by using data to drive business decisions and enjoy partnering with leaders across an organization, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Finance & Compensation Analyst, you will:

  • Analyze compensation, incentive plans, and market data to develop recommendations that support strategic business decisions.
  • Build financial models and perform complex analyses related to compensation programs, incentive plans, market competitiveness, and internal equity.
  • Lead annual market pricing, salary structure reviews, and merit planning processes.
  • Support the design, administration, and continuous improvement of compensation and incentive programs, including profit sharing, short-term and long-term incentives, equity compensation, and executive compensation.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, Legal, and business leaders to solve compensation and organizational challenges through data-driven recommendations.
  • Prepare executive compensation analyses and support materials for the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors and Annual Proxy Statement.
  • Evaluate new and existing positions to ensure appropriate market alignment, internal equity, and FLSA compliance.
  • Monitor compensation trends, labor market data, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities and recommend improvements.
  • Develop tools, training programs, and resources that promote consistent compensation practices across the organization.
  • Lead special projects and drive continuous process improvements that enhance the effectiveness of our Total Rewards programs.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who enjoys solving complex business problems through data and analysis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of experience in Finance, FP&A, public accounting, consulting, Compensation, Total Rewards, Financial Analysis, or another highly analytical business function.
  • Advanced/Expert Excel skills with experience building financial models and analyzing complex data.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to translate data into meaningful business insights and recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting findings to leaders and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Experience influencing decisions through data and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Oracle or a similar ERP or HRIS platform is preferred.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), executive compensation, equity compensation, or incentive compensation experience is a plus.

Why Worthington Steel?

At Worthington Steel, you'll have the opportunity to apply your analytical expertise to meaningful business challenges while helping shape our Total Rewards strategy.

In this role, you'll:

  • Influence compensation decisions across the organization.
  • Partner with senior leaders on strategic business initiatives.
  • Support executive compensation and board level reporting.
  • Apply financial analysis to solve complex business challenges.
  • Join a collaborative team where your ideas and expertise can make a measurable impact.

If you're looking for an opportunity where your analytical skills can influence business strategy and help shape the future of Total Rewards, we'd love to hear from you.
