Job Description

At QTC, our Finance team provides financial leadership to Queensland’s central financing authority. We partner closely with the business to drive performance while  maintaining an independent view and a strong financial control environment. 
We’re seeking an experienced  Senior Finance Business Partner to work closely with divisional leadership and key stakeholders, leading performance analysis and providing clear, strategic financial advice. This role combines commercial insight, trusted partnering, and strong governance, enabling better decision-making and improved business outcomes. 
  
What  you’ll be doing 
Planning & Reporting 
  • Lead budgeting,  forecasting and ELC/Board reporting, delivering clear, data-driven insights to support decision-making 
  • Drive improvements to planning frameworks, reporting and dashboards, and provide monthly divisional performance analysis 
Corporate Performance 
  • Lead enterprise and divisional operational planning and embed performance frameworks and governance 
  • Monitor delivery of strategic initiatives,  identifying risks, issues and opportunities  impacting outcomes 
Stakeholder Engagement 
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Executives, providing clear, commercially focused financial advice 
  • Partner with stakeholders on KPIs, planning assumptions and performance reporting to drive accountability 
  
About you 
  • Strong experience in Senior Finance Business Partnering, supporting Executives with insight-led decision-making 
  • Advanced Excel, Power BI and financial modelling skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights 
  • Proven  track record in management and Board reporting,  budgeting and forecasting 
  • Solid grounding in financial/management accounting and corporate performance reporting 
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence outcomes 
  • Well-organised and resilient, able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment 
  • Proven leadership experience within a Finance Business Partnering team,  coaching and developing junior team members while contributing at a senior level
