HYROX is a global sports event series that combines running and functional fitness training in a unique race format. Founded in Germany in 2017, HYROX has evolved into a worldwide fitness movement with events across five continents, attracting tens of thousands of athletes every season.
As our Senior Finance Analyst, you will be a key player in scaling our North American financial operations. With an increasing number of events and the strategic goal of bringing HYROX Canada in-house, we need a resourceful professional who can operate without a pre-defined playbook. You will not only contribute to core accounting operations but also drive the automation and process improvements necessary for a rapidly growing global brand. This is an ideal role for a hands-on accountant with a process-improvement mindset who wants to partner with founders and cross-functional teams to build a world-class finance function.
Accounting Operations: Maintain a strong command of AP/AR and core accounting operations across North American entities, ensuring financial accuracy and serving as a key escalation point for discrepancies and process gaps.
Financial Closing: Own the month-end and quarter-end close processes, including detailed reconciliations and journal entries.
Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, while tracking KPIs and scenario modeling to provide actionable insights for leadership.
Process Automation: Identify opportunities to automate and streamline accounting processes to support our rapid scaling.
Governance & Control: Develop and document accounting procedures and internal controls to safeguard our assets.
Cross-Functional Partnering: Collaborate with founders and internal teams on ad hoc financial needs and strategic projects.
Experience: You bring 2+ years of experience in Accounting or Financial planning & analysis; public accounting or startup experience is a major plus.
Technical Skills: You are a strong communicator who can translate finance data for non-finance stakeholders. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a strong advantage.
Credentials: You are a CPA or currently on the CPA track.
Mindset: You are resourceful, comfortable with ambiguity, and always looking for ways to leverage technology for efficiency.
Execution: You have a proven ability to own processes from start to finish and identify opportunities for optimization.
Languages: English, additional languages are a plus.
Location: Based in or willing to work from our Chicago office.

HYROX is a new global fitness race designed for any and every fitness enthusiast. The one-day events take place in large arenas and are comprised of 8 x 1km runs and 8 functional fitness stations. Each competitor has his/her own personal completion time to compare to everyone else around the world and improve upon in subsequent events similar to a runner in a marathon.
