The Senior Field Service Technician is responsible for initiating and executing field service activities at customer sites in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. This role includes troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and diesel-powered equipment; performing preventative maintenance; managing parts inventory; and identifying and correcting safety concerns involving both company- and customer-owned equipment. The technician will regularly interact directly with customers and may support multiple systems, locations, and customer sites.

  • Perform proactive troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair activities
  • Identify and resolve equipment and operational issues in a timely manner
  • Provide professional customer support and communication while onsite
  • Maintain accurate service documentation and reporting

Candidates must meet company driving requirements, including completion of the following:

  • Driver Application for Employment
  • Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) review

Required forms and documentation include:

  • Driver Disclosure and Release
  • Employee Applicant Drug and Alcohol Statement
  • FMCSA Certificate of Awareness
  • Driver Certificate of Violations
  • Driver Statement of On-Duty Hours
  • Road Test Documentation
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Valid Medical Certificate

Education & Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to obtain a CDL Class A or B with applicable endorsements

Experience Requirements

  • Ability to obtain required customer clearances (TWIC, DISA, etc.)
  • Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card
  • Clean driving record required
  • Previous technical or field service experience preferred
  • 2–5 years of technical work experience, preferably in industrial or commercial process water systems

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with electrical, mechanical, diesel, or fusion systems depending on business unit requirements
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision
  • Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and smart devices
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to interpret and communicate technical information clearly
  • Ability to leverage customer feedback and field experience to develop effective solutions, including in complex or unexpected situations
