We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Field Service Engineer to support customers across Malaysia and the APAC region. This role is ideal for an experienced field service professional with strong expertise in compressors, pumps, rotating equipment, commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer-facing technical support within Oil & Gas and process industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead installation, commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, maintenance, and overhaul activities for pumps, compressors, and rotating equipment.
• Provide advanced field service support at customer sites throughout Malaysia and the APAC region.
• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and process-related equipment issues.
• Conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and recommend corrective actions.
• Interpret P&IDs, API standards, OEM manuals, and engineering drawings.
• Support customer shutdowns, turnarounds, emergency breakdowns, and reliability improvement initiatives.
• Deliver technical reports and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, channel partners, and customers to expand service opportunities across the region.
• Mentor junior engineers and support technical training activities.

What We're Looking For

Required

• Minimum 5 years of Field Service Engineering experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working with rotating equipment.
• Strong commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and maintenance experience.
• Experience supporting compressors and/or pumps in industrial environments.
• Oil & Gas industry experience with familiarity of API standards.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills.
• Ability to travel extensively across Malaysia and the APAC region (50-75%).
• Fluent English communication skills.

Preferred

• Centrifugal compressor experience.
• Vibration Analysis Level II Certification.
• Integral Gear Compressor experience.
• PLC, instrumentation, and controls troubleshooting experience.
• Malay language capability.
• Mandarin language skills.
